Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Planner/Scheduler with extensive experience within the Oil and Gas Industry. 

The Planner/Scheduler is the focal point for all planning and scheduling activities, for onshore and offshore operations, as well as, responsible for planned maintenance and supporting the Company strategic plan.

Key Duties:

• Support in the development and review of work breakdown structures (WBS) for assigned project(s) based on the relevant project management methodology.
• Understand the corporate and contract specific planning procedures and execute in accordance with set parameters.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of scheduling software i.e., Microsoft Projects, Primavera P6 etc.
• Review project scope documentation with input from all internal discipline personnel and external stakeholders (where applicable) in preparation for the development of comprehensive work plans and schedules.
• Prepare schedules to encompass entire project lifecycles in correlation with fabrication/ construction through to installation sequences.
• Support Project Engineer and/or Construction Lead to implement resource allocation methodologies to optimize project delivery and performance where applicable.
• Production and update of detailed 2Wk Lookahead and manpower histograms aligned to project plans.
• Monitor cumulative project cost performance and inform Construction Manager, Project Engineer, and Construction Lead of variations against approved performance targets in a timely manner.
• Gather accurate progress and expended resource and manhour information, analyze data, and ensure alignment to work plans.
• Develop Integrated Project Schedule for assigned project(s) in line with Planning and Scheduling guidelines while maintaining the level of accuracy for the relevant Project Management Stage Gate.
• Advise on schedule risk analysis where required.
• Develop, maintain, and update integrated Portfolio Forecast which encompass all assigned project(s).
• Dashboard reporting within the set planning and scheduling tools, software applications, and processes applicable to the operations.
• Prepare, review, and ensure timely issuance of all relevant reports to stakeholders.
• Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews and meetings with project team members to ensure project targets for cost are achieved, ensuring issues are identified and actions tracked to closure.
• Report and lead daily team Project Update and Planning Meetings.
• Maintain and provide realistic future work forecast data.
• Liaise with Cost Discipline (Project Controls) to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of man-hour budgets to ensure the impact of any potential change are assessed and included in schedules.
• Provide inputs into budget and VOWD forecasting process in conjunction with schedule and overfall CDS work portfolio.
• Perform all other job-related activities as required related to the planning and scheduling discipline.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Diploma in a related field from a recognized university.
• PMP or related project management certification will be an asset.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas Industry.
• Good working knowledge of Project Management Software i.e., Microsoft Projects, Primavera P6, Mpower etc.
• Proficient and keen knowledge associated with Planning, Scheduling, Progress Management, Critical Path Management Change Control, Resource Control and Project Reporting.
• Proficient in Computer Literacy.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Ability to be self-sufficient under minimum supervision.
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
