Overview / Responsibilites

Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Shuttle Driver with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. 

 

The Driver – Shuttle is responsible for the transportation of employees from key identified pick-up points to specific office locations on weekday mornings and evenings.

 

Driving

  • Responsible for the transportation of employees from office locations or identified location on weekday mornings and evenings with a departure time that give allowance for arrival for the start of the operations.  Occasional weekends & public holidays are included.
  • Obey all traffic laws and regulations guiding the operation of shuttle services.
  • Maintain an employee log book for tracking of utilization of the shuttle service ensuring all persons sign on entry to vehicle both morning and evening.
  • Fuel vehicle as required and maintain a fuel consumption log and complete a reimbursement claim form on a monthly basis
  • Change tires in the event of punctures or tire bursts and ensure that spare tires are in good condition
  • Responsible for obtaining washing service for the shuttle vehicle at reputable stations and ensure that they are ready at the designated time each day
  • Communicate and maintain decent conversation with employees in a polite and courteous manner
  • Maintain constant communication with the functional supervisor in emergency situations (road blocks, flooding, weather conditions)
  • Carry out regular checks on the shuttle vehicle before and after each day’s run.
  • Report of minor faults and/or major problems, accidents, or damage to the vehicle to the functional supervisor or delegate (these actions are covered under the HSSE portion of the JD)
  • Dress in a neat and professional manner. This may be in accordance with the shuttle service company’s dress code or in accordance with the stipulated dress code for company’s drivers

 

Delivery/Courier Service

  • Collects and delivers Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), tools/equipment, and packages for the Company.
  • Collects and delivers miscellaneous items required for the Company’s operations.
  • Drives Company visitors to and from the airport and facilitates their clearance through Customs and Immigration.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned by the Facilities & Administration Coordinator, HR Team Leader, and/or HR Manager and/or company departments.
  • Performs all other related job functions as required.

Qualifications

  • Full CSEC Certificate (Minimum of Five ‘O’ Level Passes)

Competencies & Experience

  • Proficient in Computer Applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Valid T&T driving license.
  • Valid Defensive Driving certification.
  • Punctual, reliable and organised
  • Responsible and willing to work flexible hours. In addition, he/she must be comfortable, Trinidad and Tobago calendar festive periods, and early hours of the morning and late evening.
  • Ability to work effectively and prioritise in a fast-paced, high performance work environment.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Character (must not be older than 6 months).
  • Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
