Overview / Responsibilites

Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Delivery Lead with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

 

The Project Delivery Lead is responsible for the delivery of an integrated Engineering, Procurement and Project / Construction Management Services to the Contract Clients. In addition to the technical aspects this includes maintaining good business relationships built on a foundation of reliable performance and earned respect.

 

  • Awareness, understanding and compliance with the Massy Wood’s Business Policies and Procedures.
  • Awareness, understanding and delivery of Contractual Obligations and Key Performance Indicators set out in Client Service Contract.
  • Set direction, priorities and co-ordinate the management of all interfaces required to deliver a complete Project Delivery service to the Client, including HSSE, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Third-Party Services.
  • Leads in the development and performance management of all aspects associated with the various WBS Scopes of Work from inception through to completion and commercial closeout.
  • Leads the weekly Massy Wood/Client Project Meeting ensuring that Power BI reports and Microsoft Team’s Action Trackers are updated weekly.
  • Manage the Project Risk Register ensuring that all actions are driven to closure and updated on the Project Risk Register. 
  • Development, accuracy and continuous performance management of baseline schedules, progress measurement and reporting for the various WBS Scopes of Work, ensuring delivery of key contract KPI milestones which have an impact on project/business profitability.
  • Development, accuracy and performance management of the estimates, expenditure, forecasts and reporting for the various Project Scopes of Work.
  • Escalate issues that require Intervention in a timely manner demonstrating that a proactive approach was adopted to exploring possible ways of finding a solution.
  • Takes personal responsibility for promoting and supporting continuous improvement activities within all aspects of the business.
  • Actively seeks to develop and maintain business relationships based on open and honest communication underpinned by reliable proactive performance, expectation management and earned respect.
  • Proactively facilitate the resolution of cross discipline technical issues.
  • Motivates and develops a high performing team with a ‘be safe’ and ‘mistake free’ culture and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Proactively drives project technical and commercial closeout so that new work can be brought into the Portfolio.

Departmental Development

  • Work alongside other Project Delivery Leads to ensure the overall Portfolio of Projects are delivered in accordance with the Contract Key Performance Indicators.
  • Take personal responsibility for the completion of Massy Wood’s business-related activities that maintains a sustainable position in the industry for business continuity.
  • As opportunities arise lead in the development of technical proposals in support of bids for new business.

Personal Development

  • Recognizes skills, limitations and proactively notifies and engages management support in these areas.

Projects

  • Knowledge of and adherence to Massy Wood’s and project specific Project Management Systems and Procedures relevant to the role.
  • Develop and deliver upon Four (4) Projects Success Stories clearly demonstrating the value created by Massy Wood’s EPC delivery and the associated savings.
  • Encourage and motivate all project personnel to identify at least twelve (12) value creation/cost savings ideas, clearly documenting the savings as part of the EPC Contract’s Cost Efficiency Plan (CEP).

Financial

  • Ensure that Accruals, Purchase Order coverage, Unbilled Revenue, Project Closeout, Project Profitability and other Commercial Risks are continuously monitored and mitigated to safeguard both Massy Wood’s and the client’s business objectives.
  • Ensure that Timesheets are completed and approved in accordance with the weekly timeline.
  • Ensure that Project VOWDs are completed and reviewed on time.
  • Perform all other related job functions as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline from a recognized university.
  • PMP Certification.

Competencies & Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a relevant position.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ Field Construction Experience in Oil and Gas Offshore and/or Onshore Facilities.
  • Competent in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Knowledge and application of Project Management practices and procedures.
  • Foundation skills in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide direction to lead and supervise others.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to work in a Team Environment and take ownership of the team’s results.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and changing circumstances.
  • Ability to work well with external and internal customers.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Character (must not be older than 6 months).
  • Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
