Overview / Responsibilites

Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Document Controller Support with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

 

The Document Controller Support is responsible for maintaining the Company’s document management database and preparing project documentation closeout and archiving of projects, hardcopy and electronically.

 

  • Awareness of and comply with all project procedures.
  • Issuing documents and drawings in a controlled manner, using company document management database.
  • Receiving incoming documentation and drawings in a controlled manner and within agreed timescales, this includes work-pack preparation.
  • Timely distribution of latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution.
  • Audit and edit submissions, as needed, to meet company standards and preferred practices.
  • Ensure that both hardcopy and electronic documentation is filled in an accurate and retrievable manner.
  • Assist in facilitating document review/internal audits to ensure compliance with established policies, regulatory guidelines, and applicable regulations.
  • Support/identify improvements to the Quality System – Document Control Process.
  • Guide, advise and inform user personnel of Document Control Processes.
  • Edit, Review and maintain existing Quality System Documents.
  • Other QA duties/responsibilities as defined by management.
  • Deputize for Senior Document Controller, provision of holiday / sickness cover when required.
  • Perform all other related job functions as required.

Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledgeable of Document Control within Oil and Gas.
  • Knowledge of Supplier data control.
  • Knowledge of Engineering and design document control.
  • Knowledge of Construction and installation document control.
  • Good understanding of electronic file types and the requirement for accurate coding.
  • Knowledge of compilation of work packs and relevant components.
  • Knowledge of filing systems and the aim of distribution matrices.
  • Intermediate computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Character (must not be older than 6 months).
  • Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
