Overview / Responsibilites

WMT Guyana is currently recruiting for a Finance and Accounting Support Specialist (Office Administrator).

 

Applicants must have full work rights in Guyana to be eligible for this role.

 

  • Support the recording of financial transactions to facilitate the preparation of monthly management accounts in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and payment tracking
  • Assist in the development of financial reports to support performance review and strategic planning
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of the balance sheet by ensuring accurate entries, timely reconciliation, and comprehensive analysis of general ledger accounts
  • Contribute to the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Input budgetary and forecast data into financial reporting systems for analysis and decision-making
  • Contribute to the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Review, code, and process back charges for all vendor purchase invoices following their initial processing by the Accounts Payable (AP) team
  • Assist with invoice and receipt entries
  • Record journal entries in the appropriate general ledger accounts
  • Conduct account analyses as needed to support financial accuracy and compliance
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary reports for external audits
  • Generate and issue customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Distribute unbilled reports and customer statements to stakeholders on a monthly basis
  • Process customer receipts and ensure accurate allocation to accounts
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Conduct monthly aged accounts receivable reconciliations to ensure alignment with the general ledger
  • Prepare periodic financial, statistical, and operational reports as assigned
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Support budgeting and expense tracking activities
  • Prepare basic financial reports and summaries
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors as needed
  • Enter and maintain data in accounting and ERP systems
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data
  • Assist with improving processes and implementing efficiencies
  • Support annual Finance improvement plans in line with Company and Client strategic and business unit objectives
  • Supporting the project Finance interface requirements; ensuring compliance with all existing interface documents and in the development of future plans
  • Ensuring the requirements stipulated in Finance interface documents/plans are communicated to all relevant personnel
  • Perform all other job functions as assigned/ required

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
