Overview / Responsibilites

Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Mechanic with experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. 

 

The Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment. 

This includes pumps, compressors, engines, generators, rotating equipment, and associated systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

 

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical systems and equipment
  • Ensure all equipment and machinery meet safety regulations and performance standards
  • Provide technical support and advice to other team members
  • Record and report any faults, wear and tear, and other potential issues
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations
  • Adhere to company policies and safety regulations at all times
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance procedures.
  • Support equipment shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Perform all other related job functions as required.

Qualifications

  • Technical/Vocational certification in Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Minimum two (2)– five (5) years of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or energy sector.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery operation, and maintenance
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults in a range of equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics of machinery and equipment. 
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
