Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Materials Management / Storeman with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
The Materials Management / Storeman is responsible for the receipt, storage, control, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and supplies. The role ensures inventory accuracy, proper stock levels, compliance with company procedures, and timely availability of materials to support operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Record and update inventory transactions in the inventory management system.
- Store materials safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
- Issue materials, tools, and equipment to authorized personnel and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, excess stock, or obsolete items.
- Ensure proper labeling, identification, and organization of all warehouse stock.
- Maintain accurate documentation for receiving, issuing, transferring, and returning materials.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, and Maintenance teams regarding material requirements.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve inventory management processes.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company policies.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the warehouse and storage areas.
- Support the preparation of inventory and management reports as required.
