Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Tradesman Helper (Rigging) with experience in the oil and gas industry.
The Tradesman/Helper (Rigging) is responsible for assisting in other assigned duties for all crafts on the job site.
- Assist with operating manual or semi-automatic flame cutting equipment, e.g. Oxy-Acetylene.
- Assist with measuring, cutting, and bending pipe to required shape using hand and power tools.
- Assist with installing supports, valves, piping and control systems.
- Assist with installing clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools.
- Assist with joining pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment.
- Assist with testing systems for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment (pneumatic or hydrostatic).
- Assist with moving parts into position, manually or by using hoists or cranes.
- Assist the equipment operators to ensure that loads are secure.
- Assist in housekeeping activities before, during and after each work shift.
- Perform all other related job functions as required.
