Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Instrument Fitter with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
The Instrument Fitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial instrumentation and control systems. The role ensures that instrumentation equipment operates safely, accurately, and efficiently to support plant operations and production targets.
- Install, assemble, and commission instrumentation and control equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and functional testing of instruments.
- Diagnose faults and repair instrumentation systems, including transmitters, control valves, sensors, analyzers, and related equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Ensure all instruments are calibrated according to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic control systems.
- Assist with plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and calibration records.
- Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers, operators, and maintenance personnel to optimize equipment performance.
- Ensure work is completed in compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations.
