The Projects Controls Team Lead is responsible for the organization and provision of Project Controls including estimating, cost control, and planning.
- Coordinates timely exchange of information between estimating, cost control, planning/scheduling and other departments.
- Attends and participates with client staff in estimating, cost, and schedule review meetings.
- Advises project management of cost impact of proposed design or construction changes.
- Reviews independent third party evaluations.
- Develops and implements estimating, cost analysis, and scheduling standards and procedures.
- Ensures that all project scheduling activities such as schedule development, updates, progress reporting, and recommendations for corrective action comply with company and client requirements.
- Responsible for preparation of project programmes and associated reporting based on Contract Work Breakdown Structure
- Knowledge of and adherence to Massy Wood Group and project-specific Project Management Systems and Procedures relevant to the role
- Working and progressing according to individual Training Plan
- Liaising with the Manager, to identify areas for personal development and to develop individual Training Plan
- Conducting in-house training
- Supporting the execution of the Training Plan
- Liaising with the Manager, to identify areas for departmental development and to develop the Training Plan
- Recognises skills limitations and proactively notifies and engages higher management support in these area
- Determines staffing requirements and assigns personnel to projects as required.
- Plans, organizes, and supervises activities of estimating, cost, or project control teams assigned to projects. Capable of applying diversified knowledge of estimating, cost control, and planning/scheduling principles and practices, and independently making decisions on significant estimating and cost control problems and methods.
- Motivation of all staff personnel under your supervision.
- Mentoring of junior department members
- Create / Design Ad hoc reporting as required
- Liaise with other areas of the project on a regular basis – Project Management, Engineering, DCC, IT and HSE etc.
- Conduct regular meetings with project engineers to cover estimate, schedule or cost issues
- Responsible for budget preparation, commitment control and forecasting of all costs associated with individual projects within the Contract
- Understand the corporate and contract-specific project management/ control procedures and carry out all work in accordance with these
- Identification of systems which will improve reporting to all stakeholders and implement.
- Automation of all Projects Controls Report through the use of Massy Wood Group business systems.
- For the Monthly Reports – Accurate Statusing, progress reporting, accurate assessment of Accruals, Variance analysis (both for schedule and cost), recovery plans where appropriate, Estimates at Completion, Key issues, Key Risks, progress against Key Metrics, progress against Key Milestones, progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Identify Value Savings made by the projects during the execution year; and the capture of evidence and production of claims.

Massy Wood is recruiting for a Quality Engineer with significant experience in the oil and gas industry.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for assisting the QA/QC Team Lead in execution of the quality assurance and quality control Management program by ensuring the implementation of Projects QA Plans, Project Procedures and all related Quality documents during the Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases.
- Evaluate through Internal Audit program the compliances of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Departments where necessary.
- Monitoring of the review, distribution and revision of procedures and processes.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis for internal and client raised NCRs.
- Monitors implementation of corrective actions in response to the identification of nonconforming products/services through QA/QC Audits or otherwise, until the unsatisfactory condition has been rectified.
- Work with and support action owners to deliver NCR closure rate objectives.
- Conduct Corporate Internal and Self Verification Audits.
- Support Project Delivery Leads in Risk Management of projects.
- Review with all Field Supervisors and Inspectors the correct reporting of all Construction projects, with reference to applicable codes and standards/procedures Contribute to the achievement of ISO 9001 certification of Massy WG’s Management system.
- Assist in the maintenance, documentation and deployment of the Company’s quality management system, client guidance practices and standards.
- Coordinate, supervise and manage the overall QA/QC support activities to Construction and technical support teams.
- Supporting with the client Quality representatives in order to address Quality topics.
- Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices and the customers contract specializations.
- Liaises with the Organization Team Leaders in the coordination of all Internal Quality Audits as per approved schedule.

- Liaise with the Discipline Function Lead to identify and implement improvements in discipline working practices.
- Capture and communicate lessons learnt to the Discipline Function Lead.
- Coach / guide discipline personnel on a majority of discipline applications.
- Knowledge of and adherence to Massy Wood Group and project specific Engineering Management Systems and Procedures relevant to the role.
- Demonstrates the appropriate competence level for the job.
- Is a source for guidance on a majority of discipline applications.
- Coordinate technical matters within discipline and with other disciplines as required.

Massy Wood is recruiting for an Electrical Engineer III with significant experience in design for the oil and gas industry.
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the preparation and checking of electrical deliverables.
- Originate discipline deliverables under limited direction of senior discipline personnel.
- Assist the Electrical Lead Engineer and/or Electrical Function Lead as directed.
- Produce solutions that are safe, cost effective, fit for purpose and add value to both Massy Wood
- Group and the client. May need to refer to information sources or senior discipline personnel.
- Ensure operational and maintenance issues are addressed in the design. May need to refer to information sources or senior discipline personnel.
- Accompany senior discipline personnel to execute surveys, both onshore and offshore, to determine information to allow execution of scopes of work.
- Familiar with standard design engineering deliverables.
- Self-checking of own work.
- Develop working relationship with client and supplier / vendor personnel.
- Communicate with Operations and Maintenance personnel to determine any opportunities where Massy Wood Group could provide solutions to existing problems or for improving the existing practice.
